Classes are built around short, clear instructions, so children practice paying attention and following directions.

Discipline & self-control

Mat rules, bowing, and belt requirements give children consistent structure they can understand.

Why parents choose martial arts

Parents often come to us with the same goals: a child who listens better, participates more, handles frustration without giving up, and feels more sure of themselves at school. Martial arts can help by giving children a consistent structure, clear expectations, and visible progress they earn themselves. Our instructors are trained to correct kindly, celebrate effort, and keep every class positive.

Questions

Kids Martial Arts FAQs

What Cumming families ask before starting.

What age can my child start?

We typically start children around age 4, in a class grouped by age and attention span. Call the academy and we'll recommend the right class time.

What should my child wear to the first class?

Comfortable athletic clothes are fine. A uniform is provided once a student enrolls.

Is martial arts too aggressive for young kids?

Our kids program emphasizes control, respect and safety. Contact is age-appropriate and supervised, and we do not encourage aggressive behavior.

How often should my child train?

Most students train two to three times per week. Consistency matters more than intensity, especially for younger students.
