The hardest class is the one you haven't attended yet. Once people know what actually happens, most of the hesitation disappears. Here's the honest version.
What to wear
Comfortable athletic clothing. A t-shirt and shorts or leggings is fine. Training is barefoot, so no special shoes are needed. A uniform comes later, after enrollment — you don't need to buy anything to try a class.
Arriving
Come ten minutes early. An instructor will greet you, take a quick note of your experience level, and show you where to line up. Parents are welcome to watch.
The class itself
Classes open with a bow-in and warm-up, move into technique instruction, then partner or pad drills, and close with a short focus point and bow-out. An instructor will stay near new students and break each movement down step by step.
You will not be asked to spar, break boards, or perform anything you haven't been taught. Nobody expects a beginner to look like a black belt.
Afterward
We'll answer questions, talk through class times, and explain what a typical training week looks like. There's no pressure to decide on the spot.
